About
After receiving my first camera at age 10 and becoming completely hooked with photography, I ended up spending 25 years as a very successful Industrial and High Tech sales representative. In 2002 my sales career began an unrecoverable change.
In 2005 I turned my full attention back to photography. Attending classes at Bellevue College and mentoring with an award-winning Seattle-based photojournalist, I decided to make photography a way of life. Since then, as a Freelance photographer, I have photographed for corporate and commercial accounts, created wedding and bar/bat mitzvah images and was a staff photographer for a well-known Seattle portrait studio. In addition, I have worked part-time as a staff photographer shooting college and high school graduations. I had the wonderful opportunity to assist a nationally known commercial photographer and as 2nd photographer to a highly regarded Seattle wedding photographer. My shooting tends to lean heavily toward photojournalism and I try to capture a story in every picture.
My passion lies with creating fine art photographs. My work with fine art tends to find subjects looked upon as benign or just plan ugly. Or, to take a subject that is of interest to the eye and find something within it that is artistic yet different.
I also enjoy working with local artists to photograph their artwork for printing and marketing purposes. With my versatile photography background in both film and digital, combined with a highly successful sales experience, my low-key and approachable manner helps to create positive relationships with my clients.
I have posted some of my work for your viewing pleasure and hope you have found my blog interesting and look forward to your comments. If you are looking for a photographer to help you create images for your needs, please send a note or phone me at your earliest convenience.
